The Chilli Jungle

I love spicy food and have experimented with growing my own chillies before as it's great to have some fresh ones available. This year my wife bought me a small chilli growing kit for my birthday am I'm now a bit worried I have too many.

I followed all the instructions but one. Supposedly I should have planted two seeds together in each plug then pulled the weaker one out. However I had loads of those compost plugs in the shed so thought why not plant them all individually. Well I'll tell you why not, they pretty much all took and now I have a chilli jungle. They need some good warmth too which isn't so easy in my place. I only have one south facing window and it's completely covered in chilli plants. If they grow much bigger and all grow fruits we are going to have to shuffle round them every time we go upstairs.
Then there was my other issue. In my infinite wisdom I noted which variety of chilli I planted on the outside of the propagator. It was a perfectly sensible idea until I needed to turn a few so they got more sun and plant a few more where one didn't germinate. Yes, I mixed them all up. So now it's not just a window owning, jungle of chilli plants but one of indeterminate varieties.
Still, could have been worse, hopefully I can tell them apart when they fruit and at least I'll have plenty to start experimenting with.
I'm thinking hot sauces, chilli chutneys that sort of thing. I may even have to dedicate a section of this site to them, after all they are taking over my home so why not here too.
Cheers
